Farnham u3a is a friendly group of people and we welcome new members. We are proud of the extensive range of groups we offer – well over a hundred different topics. The simplest way to join is online as detailed below.
- Our annual membership fee from 1st September to 31st August is £45.
- If you are a member of another u3a, you may join as an Associate member. The annual membership fee to the Third Age Trust (currently £4.00) is deducted and the fee is £41.00
- If you join after 1st January the fee is £25
- If you join after 1st April the fee is £12.50
Your membership fee enables you to join as many groups as you wish, you can also attend any monthly and theme meetings. A few groups have paid tutors and others make a small charge to cover their expenses. Members also receive our regular e-news bulletins which keeps you up to date with news and upcoming events. However, please be aware that some of our more popular groups are at capacity. If you are joining u3a for a specific group or subject then it is advisable to first check availability with the group contact, who can advise if there are places available or a waiting list.
Gift Aid
If you are a UK taxpayer, you can allow Farnham u3a to reclaim tax on your subscription as Farnham u3a is a registered charity, number 1019078. However, if you pay less Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax in the current tax year than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all your donations it will be your responsibility to pay any difference to HMRC.

All members must

- Always act in the best interests of the u3a and never do anything to bring the u3a into disrepute.

- Treat fellow members with respect and courtesy at all times.
- Comply with and support the decisions of the elected committee.
- Update any change in your personal details by clicking on Update Member Information or advise the Membership Secretary members@u3akeith.tonyjohnson.org.
Privacy
u3a requires members to provide personal information to fulfil our contract with you, and to keep you informed about events and activities that are offered as part of your membership.
In collecting your information u3a will:
- Store it securely for membership purposes.
- Use it to communicate with you as a u3a member.
- Share your information with group leaders for those groups that you are a member of.
- Send you general information about the Third Age Trust (the national organisation to which u3as are affiliated).
If you would like to join Farnham u3a as a new member then please read the Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy before clicking on the Agree button. You will then be taken to Beacon which is the Information Management System that Farnham u3a uses to hold your personal details securely. Beacon will then connect you to PayPal. You do not need to set up a PayPal account. You can use your debit or credit card and your payments will not be stored.
